Crime Stoppers of Lewis County, the Riverside Fire Authority, and the Centralia Police Department are seeking your assistance in five fires, intentionally set during the early morning hours of May 3, 2013. The Riverside Fire Authority and City of Chehalis Fire Department responded to multiple structure fires in the greater Chehalis and Centralia area.  

The first fire was reported at 1:00 A.M. at the Firehouse Espresso Stand located at 2391 Kresky Ave., Chehalis.  Firefighters found the rear of the structure on fire and the cause of the fire is currently undetermined with an approximate loss of $5,000.   

The second fire occurred at 3:20 A.M. at the Church of the Nazarene Rectory and Teen Center located at 1219 West First St., Centralia.  This fire has been ruled arson with an approximate loss of $30,000. 

The third fire occurred at 3:38 A.M. at the Centerville Western Store located at 1500 Lum Road, Centralia.  This fire has been ruled arson with an approximate loss of $10,000-$15,000. 

The fourth fire occurred at 4:02 A.M. at the Calvary Chapel located at 2502 Seward Ave., Centralia.  The church sustained fire damage to a wall. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined with an approximate loss of $5,000.

In addition, at 10:00 A.M. an arson attempt was discovered to the Cooks Hill Community Church located at 2400 Cooks Hill Road in Centralia.  The church sustained exterior siding damage.  Damage estimated at a $1,000. 

Investigators are currently working all available leads and are seeking assistance from the community in effort to find the person or person(s) responsible for these fires.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. On 03/21/13 at approximately 10:55 p.m. an individual heard a loud bang outside and discovered his neighbor’s house had been burglarized. Suspect(s) made forced entry into a home in the 100 block of Tri Mountain Lane, Centralia and stole the following items:

          – Sears riding garden tractor, red in color, 46”, 26HP

          – DeWalt compressor with hoses

          – Sears pressure washer, 2700 psi, and Sears rototiller

          – Honda 550 watt power generator, red in color, eco drive, serial

            #27941665

          – Trek mountain bike, red in color, full suspension

          – Two Stihl chainsaws, serial numbers 273985598 & 281988121

          – Two Sears roller mechanic cabinets and two Sears top tool chests

          – Makita power circular saw, impact driver drill set, and sawzall

          – Miscellaneous jewelry including large diamond ring, black 

            diamond ring, topaz earrings, gold bracelets, gold chains, etc.

          – Canon PowerShot camera, A710 IS

          – Many additional items including clothing, tools, furniture, purses,

            makeup, etc.

A blue 1990s Mustang Coupe and a dark colored 1980s Datsun or Toyota pickup were seen in the area and may or may not be associated with this burglary.

The value of this theft is estimated over $12,000 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Chehalis Police Department are seeking your assistance in a BOMB THREAT investigation. 

On 04/16/13 around 5:44 p.m. a Wal-Mart employee observed a bomb threat written in what appeared to be a black sharpie on the wall behind the toilet in the women’s bathroom. 

A bottle was also located in the garden area with a napkin taped to it with references to the bombing in Boston. The area was searched and nothing further was located.

          – Suzuki kicker motor, 9.9hp, dark with gold stripe

          – Marine band radio, black in color

          – Garmin GPS, model 230, black in color with antenna

          – Garmin depth finder, black in color

          – Uniden CB radio

          – Two Cannon manual downriggers and five downrigger weights

          – Tasco binoculars, dark gray in color

          – Interstate marine battery

          – Four crab pots, one dark blue and three black in color

          – Three fishing knives, large black fishing net, and 16 gallons of 

             gasoline

          – Lamiglass fishing pole, dark purple pole with Penn Levelwind reel

          – Three Shimano deep sea fishing poles, two with Shimano reels and 

             one with a Penn reel

          – Two Plano tackle boxes with miscellaneous tackle

On 04/10/13 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. suspect(s) made forced entry into a church in the 2000 block of Jackson Hwy, Chehalis by prying open the back door. The suspect(s) stole a Peavey MicroBass amplifier and a Fender electric guitar, Precision Bass model, white with a maple neck.

This theft is valued over $700 dollars.

Between the evening of 03/17/13 and morning of 03/18/13 unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle in the 100 block of Harold Drive, Chehalis and stole a Sterling Arms .22 pistol (serial number A81695), checkbooks, CDs, sunglasses, and a car inverter. The suspect(s) then broke out a window of another vehicle and stole a Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw and a Skill circular saw.

This theft is valued over $1,000 dollars.

Between February 24th and March 10th, 2013 suspect(s) stole a tractor from a residence in the 2700 block of Harrison Ave, Centralia. The tractor is described as a twenty year old Kubota L3350 tractor, orange in color, which had a BF800 bucket loader. The tractor’s serial number is 60197 and the loader’s serial number is 10564.
