April 12, 2009 – Crime #738

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Centralia Police Department are seeking your assistance in malicious mischief to automatic teller machines (ATMs). On March 15, 2009 in the morning hours Centralia patrols took multiple reports of our local ATMs being vandalized. The ATM located at Venture Bank on South Gold St. had damage to the screen and also the ATM was spray painted with black paint. The same thing occurred at the Anchor Savings Bank in the 600 block of South Tower Ave. Centralia Police Departments believe the suspects are causing damage to the ATMs to hide their identity while they attempt to use victims’ debit cards and/or credit cards in an identity theft scheme.

If you have any information about who is responsible for these damages that are valued well over $1000 dollars, DON’T DELAY!  CALL RIGHT AWAY!!  Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the clearance of this crime or any other crime.  Call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-748-6422.  Remember, you never have to leave your name.
