July 26, 2009 – Crime #753

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a residential burglary. On July 12, 2009 Lewis County deputies investigated a burglary in the 5800 block of State Route 508, Morton. A homeowner reported on July 12, 2009 while in the process of moving into the newly purchased residence it had been burglarized. The homeowner discovered the burglar drank several beers and stole several items from the residence.

The stolen property consisted of a Homelite electric chainsaw, a Homelite gas chainsaw, two mountain bikes, and about $30 dollars worth of beer.

July 19, 2009 – Crime #752

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a hit and run investigation. On July 14, 2009 at about 3:40 p.m. a bicyclist was riding his bike in the 5100 block of Jackson Highway near the Cowlitz Prairie Grange. The bicyclist told the deputies he was traveling southbound on Jackson Highway in the 5100 block approaching Tucker Road. The bicyclist said he saw a vehicle stopped at the stop sign and as the bicyclist passed this intersection the vehicle pulled out, striking the bicyclist and causing him to tumble into the ditch.

The bicyclist told the deputies the vehicle that fled the scene was a dark in color two door older model convertible, possibly a Mercury. The vehicle was occupied by two people and the only person seen was a female passenger with blond hair in a ponytail approximately 20 to 23 years of age.

July 12, 2009 – Crime #751

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a residential burglary investigation. On July 2, 2009 Lewis County deputies took a report of a residential burglary in the 500 block of Halliday Road, Centralia. The victim discovered his residence was ransacked and multiple items were stolen from his master bedroom and bathroom. The items stolen were described as prescription medications and miscellaneous jewelry.  The lost is estimated at over $4,800 dollars.

July 5, 2009 – Crime #750

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. Lewis County deputies responded to the 300 block of W. Reynolds Ave., Centralia for a report of multiple storage units being broken into. Deputies discovered between June 25, 2009 to July 2, 2009 burglars made entry into six storage units stealing property from multiple renters. The items consisted of a red and black Craftsman five drawer stand up toolbox with pull out top, a Sylvania 27″ color TV, a computer tower and monitor, CDs, and VHS tapes. The total value is estimated over $2,700 dollars.
