November 29, 2009 – Crime #771

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. On November 10, 2009 at about 5:00 p.m. a homeowner in the 300 block of Jackson Highway returned home to discover their residence had been burglarized. The homeowner reported to deputies the following items were stolen:

          – Winchester .410 shotgun

          – Marlin .22 rifle

          – Italian .50 caliber muzzleloader

          – .22 caliber lever action rifle             

          – .38 caliber five-shot revolver

          – Antique Navy pistol

          – Mossberg 20 gauge shotgun

          – A Browning Sweet 16 shotgun

          – Two Derringer .22 pistols

The loss is estimated over $5,000 dollars. November 22, 2009 – Crime #770

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. On November 10, 2009 at about 7:00 p.m. a victim in the 1700 block of State Route 505, Toledo returned home to discover their residence had been broken into. The burglars ransacked the residence and stole the following items:

          - Winchester model 88, .308 caliber rifle, serial number 11396

          - HR shotgun, serial number CAC095943

          – .22 Marlin rifle, serial number 91622966

          – Glock model 17 pistol, serial number NSL010

          – Ammunition

          – Two Leopold scopes

          – Firearm rings and mounts

          – Other miscellaneous items

The total value is estimated over $6000 dollars. November 15, 2009 – Crime #769

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a residential burglary. On October 30, 2009 at 1700 hours a homeowner in the 200 block of Hale Road West discovered their residence had been burglarized. The burglar stole money set aside for an upcoming vacation. The loss of cash is in the thousands, but the exact amount is not being released by investigators.

November 8, 2009 – Crime #768

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a vehicle prowl. On October 26, 2009 in the morning hours two victims from the 100 block of Mountain View Lane discovered their vehicles had been broken into. The prowlers stole a Browning 9mm handgun, a pair of binoculars, a video camera, two hunting knives, reloading equipment, a cellular phone, a purse, and money. The loss is estimated over $1500 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. On October 22, 2009 at about 4:00 a.m. the owner of Stanley’s Store in the 700 block of Leonard Road discovered his business had been burglarized. Deputies investigated the scene and discovered the burglars forced entry into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
