April 25, 2010 – Crime #792

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a theft of an excavator investigation. On March 22, 2010 a business owner discovered his Caterpillar model 312 excavator, yellow and black in color, was stolen from his heavy equipment yard located in the 200 block of Hamilton Road North, Chehalis. The Cat has a broken cab window and has dents and scratches all over the cab from past use. The loss is estimated over $50,000 dollars.

April 18, 2010 – Crime #791

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a residential burglary. On March 25, 2010 a homeowner in the 100 block of Wiatrak Road discovered his residence and shop had been burglarized. The homeowner reported to the Lewis County deputies the following had been stolen:

-          Craftsman air compressor

-          18 volt cordless drill, saw and light

-          Drop cloths

-          5 gallons of Behr paint

-          Miscellaneous tools including drills, hammers, and saws

-          5 gallons of antique white Glidden paint

-          White Kenmore freezer with approximately 200 lbs of beef, fish, and pork

-          Stihl 066 chainsaw with 36 inch bar

-          Miscellaneous hand tools

The loss is estimated over $3500 dollars.

On March 15, 2010 a homeowner discovered their 1997 Honda Civic two door red in color, Washington license 870TTV was stolen from their property in the 100 block of Rarey Road, Winlock. The vehicle is estimated over $3000 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a vehicle theft investigation. On March 14, 2010 at about 9:00 a.m. a homeowner in the 300 block of Larson Road, Silver Creek discovered their 1998 Yamaha YZ400, Washington registration 307733A, was stolen from their garage. The Yamaha had paddle tires on the rear and it was blue in color.
