Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a theft and burglary investigation. On June 3, 2011 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. an individual entered a residence in the 100 block of Middle Fork Rd and stole multiple items including an Xbox, a Vizio computer, and two Compaq hard drives.

On June 7, 2011 a yellow 2001 Caterpillar skid steer loader, model 226, serial number 5FZ04245, and a yellow, purple, and green 1995 Komatsu track driven mini excavator, model PC-20-7E, were also stolen. The Caterpillar is described as having the name Kevin painted in black on one of the arms. The forks and bucket were also stolen.

The value of this theft is approximately $21,000 dollars.

On 05/12/11 an individual parked his vehicle in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Bishop Rd in an attempt to sell the vehicle. On 05/13/11 at approximately 6:00 a.m. he discovered the MHT Blitz custom rims, Les Schwab Open Country tires, Protec cab guard, Protec toolbox, and 40 gallon fuel tank were stolen.

The value of this theft is approximately $4800 dollars.

On 05/22/11 an individual discovered her chocolate brown crossbred cow had been shot in the 2800 block of Little Hanaford Rd sometime between 10:00 a.m. on 05/21/11 and 8:30 a.m. on 05/22/11. Another cow had been shot approximately two weeks earlier.

The value of the cattle is approximately $4000 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a vehicle prowl and theft investigation. On 05/04/11 at approximately 4:00 p.m. a victim reported his trailer had been broken into at the Lions Club Campground in Mineral.

The victim reported two Stihl chainsaws were stolen, a model MS440 Magnum with 28” bar/dual port muffler and a model 029 Super Farm Boss with 20” bar. A 2004 13’ Seawing Runabout boat was also stolen. The boat has been recovered, but the 15 horse Mariner outboard motor is still missing.

The value of the theft is estimated over $3,600 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. On 04/27/11 fire personnel from Fire District #11 discovered their fire station at 5234 State Route 6 was burglarized. Between 1:00 p.m. on 04/23/11 and 6:00 p.m. on 04/27/11 suspect(s) made forced entry into the building and stole the following items:

          – Two SCBA Air Packs (Carrier tank and mask)

          – Bolt Cutters – 18”, 24”, 36”

          – Generac Generator, 5000 Watt

          – Mcculloch Generator, 5700 Watt

          – Centaur Spreaders – (Jaws of Life)

          – Centaur Cutters – (Jaws of Life)

          – Two Stihl Chainsaws, MS460

          – Stihl Roof Saw, TS400

          – Craftsman Sawzall

          – Oxygen Tanks

          – Medical Supplies

          – Miscellaneous tools

The value of the theft is estimated over $18,000 dollars.

The majority of the tools have been recovered, but investigators are still seeking more information on the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a missing person investigation. Detectives continue to investigate the disappearance of 18 year old Kayla Mae Croft-Payne. Kayla was reported missing to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office on May 5th, 2010. Kayla was residing in Lewis County, but her last known location was in the Cowlitz County area. Kayla is also known to frequent Grays Harbor and Pierce County. Kayla is described as a white female, 5’06”, 105 pounds, blue eyes and brown hair.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a burglary investigation. Unknown suspects entered into two properties in the 300-block of Garrard Creek Road, Rochester sometime between the evening hours of 4/28/11 and the morning hours of 04/29/11. The suspects forced entry into the buildings on these properties and stole several hundred dollars of house wire along with three large rolls of 4-gauge Tri-plex wire and an antique white claw-foot bathtub.
