Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a theft and vandalism investigation which occurred near the Boistfort School. Between the evening hours on 08/16/11 and the following morning, unknown suspect(s) cut the wood post that a school zone speed limit sign and amber lights were mounted on. The post, sign, and lights were damaged. A large solar panel was also stolen which was attached to the post.

The value of this theft and vandalism is estimated over $1,000 dollars.

On 05/22/11 an individual discovered her chocolate brown crossbred cow had been shot in the 2800 block of Little Hanaford Rd sometime between 10:00 a.m. on 05/21/11 and 8:30 a.m. on 05/22/11. Another cow had been shot approximately two weeks earlier.

The value of the cattle is approximately $4000 dollars.

Between March 4th and March 7th, 2011 unknown individuals spray-painted the back side of several buildings including the concession stand and visitors’ dugout at the Adna High School softball and baseball fields.

The damage is estimated over $500 dollars.

On December 20th between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11 p.m. a person damaged over 30 water meters at individual lots at Paradise Estates in Ashford. The water meters are valued at approximately $325 each. The total loss is over $10,000 dollars.

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office are seeking your assistance in a malicious mischief to a CAT 245 logging shovel. The CAT was at a logging site near the 5000 line off Cooks Hill Rd, Centralia. On October 5, 2010 the equipment operator ran the CAT logging shovel for over 30 minutes before learning someone had removed the oil drain plug from the engine. This malicious mischief caused the engine to seize which damaged the engine. The damage to the equipment is estimated over $26,000 dollars.

Lewis County deputies investigated multiple windows being broken out of the DSHS office located in the 1000 block of Kresky Avenue, Centralia. The owner of the building reported an unknown person had shot out the windows on the building about seven times.
